Inspired by my Gullah roots on the Sea Island of St. Helena Island, South Carolina. The Sea Islands were settled by indigenous cultures over thousands of years. After President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation became effective on January 1, 1863, more than 5,000 slaves on Union-occupied islands obtained their freedom.
Scented with fragrances of ripe melon along with orange slices, lemon and lime peel combined with a fresh cut grass nuance. A heart of jasmine, violet and lavender slip into a background of sweet exotic woody notes.
